NEW YORK, Bth March. At Portland, Oregon, Mr. \V. M. Hughes addressed a large audience, and said that upon the continuance of AngloAmerican unity depended world peace, He outlined Australian problems, such as isolation and the need of population. He reiterated that the East, where the masses were growing restless and discontented, was. awaking, and he stressed Australia's irrevocable programme of the maintenance of racial purity. "We will not be honeycombed," he said, "with groups of peoples vie, cannot assimilate.
