• The French taxation crisis has caused the franc, which has been steadily declining during the week, to' reach 3 7-10 cents, constituting a new low record.
The uncertainty of the Continental exchanges is thus aggravated, affecting sterling, which reached 4.28j to the £, after holding steadily at 4.30 during the past three weeks.
