WANGANUI, Bth March. ■ -Ihe Wanganui Regatta was held today favourable weather. • There were excellent • entries, including crews from j J l' WeHington,. Hamilton. -Clifton, and Auckland. Results:— ' ; ; Maiden Fours.—Picton Rowing Club, V Jr^,huston Bowing Club, 2; Union boat Club, 3. Waitemata also started. An excellent race all the wav between the placed crews. Halfway Picton secured a slight lead. Wellington then drew level, but Picton again spurting went ahead and won by over a length, Union a bare length away third. . Maiden Single Sculls.—Wanganui Row}?i S iCl^ (H; Vfte), 1: Hamilton Rowing Club G. St. Clair), 2; Aramoho Boating Club (C, Campbell), 3. Dyke led all the way and won enmfortably by a length and a half. -*>c others were well in the rear. .
