SYNOPSIS OF THE LAST 48 HOURS.
A westerly depression passed in the South yesterday, and has-been followed by a cyclone vhich at present is centred off the west coast ol the North Island. L'usettlcd and squally conditions have, been experienced during the weekend, with rajn in many parts of the country.^ Strong westerly winds'have-circa place to sputberUes in and southwards ol Look Strait since last night.
