WAIHI, 31st, January.. In the Police Court, Henry George Dormer (aged 33 years) and George Gilmour (aged 35) were charged conjointly that on the evening of Saturday last,' /26th January, at Waihi, they did wilfully damage 17 panes of glass of the total value of £4 10s, in the engineshed at Waihi railway 6tation. Accused, both of whom are bridge builders employed, on the New Zealand railways, entered a plea of not guilty. SeniorConstable i Keenan, who appeared for the police, asked for a remand until Friday nest. Mr. W. M. Jackson, in asking that bail be fixed at a moderate sum, said that both men had borne excellent characters^ and were regard.cd as good workers by their foreman, who was prepared to go surety for them. A remand was granted.
