Messrs. Dalgety and Co., Ltd.. report having received the following cablegram from their London house under date of the 31st January:—

"Lamb.—New Zealand prime crossbred lamb Canterbury heavy 9Jd, Canterbury light lidNorth Island heavy B}d, North Island light lOd. Demand for New Zealand lamb limited Prices weak and look like going lower. Mutton.—New Zealand prime crossbred mutton North Island heavy 7}d, North Island light BJd. Demand for New Zealand mutton moderate. Any change in price .is in favour of buyers. Beef.—New Zealand prime ox beef hinds 4d, fores 3Jd. Demand for New Zealand beef fair. Jfarket firm.- Australian Frozen Meat.—Good average quality. Crossbred lamb heavy Bd, light 10id. Demand for Australian lamb fair. Good average quality crossbred mutton heavy 6jd, light 7d. Demand for Australian mutton limited.

The New Zealand Meat Producers' Board reports exports for the current season to be 10,095 quarters beef, 119,023 carcasses mutton, 379,963 carcasses lacib. Killings at all works, Ist November to 15th January, were 17,579 quarters beer, 225,355 carcasses wether mutton, 74,8-13 ewe mutton, 1,162 943 lambs.
