The Hon. C. J. Parr (Minister of Education) will leave for the North ■on Saturday. He will remain in Auckland for a few days, and will then embark on a tour of th,e Waikato district on education business. P. ■ Bell, a member; of the directorate and of the editorial staff of the "Star." Mr C. P. Blacklock, for many years well known in football, cricket, and swimming circles, died at his residence m Kelbum yesterday at the,-age of 40 years. , The late Mr. Blacklock was educated at Wellington College, and captained the college team;in the year that at won the cricket championship.
