Two daring thieves with a hammer smashed in the window of Ogden's Duke street, before closing and snatched £8000 ! worth of jewellery, and crammed their i pockets. They mounted bicycles and escaped, despite an exciting chase, in ■whitih hundreds of, West-Enders.partici-pated.
