On hearing that a band of armed I athans had entered a village in his State and plundered the houses of two rich men of 15,000 rupees of loot, the Maharajah of Baria dispatched a party of infantry in motor-lorries and himself followed a little later. The infantry encountered the Dacoits. Two of the latter were killetl, several were' wounded ' and five 'were captured.
