An extraordinary accident occurred shortly after 3 p.m. to-day, when the ' west wall of the ■" Spectator " building in Gloucester street collapsed with a roar into an adjoining empty section. I The interior of the building was thrown I open, showing the passage on the ground floor and the workroom above. One man j had a narrow escape from serious inI lury, being knocked down by flying | bricks. The Hon. G. "W.^ Russell, who : conducts the " Spectator,* was in the upper room when the fall occurred, but the floor did not collapse.
