MAUNGANtFI ARRIVES FROM SYDNEY. After being delayed by heavy fog in Cook Strait, the Jlaunganui arrived in the stream .at Wellington at 5.10 p.m. yesterday from Sydney. Pratique was granted, and the vessel berthed at No. 2 Queen's Wharf. New Zealand Shipping Company advises that the Kent, which arrived at Napier on Sunday morning from Wellington, is to leave -Napier on Friday for Whakatane and Auckland to complete loading for London. The Port Brisbane took the water during the first week la December. This vessel is a duplicate of the Port Wellington, and is the eighth ship completed for the same owners since the closing years of the war. The latest pair - are somewhat larger than their immediate predecessors, being SOOft in length overall, C2ft beam, and 44ft 3iu deep, with a gross tonnage of about 0000. I The Federal Line advises that the Essex' is to leave Wanganui on Thursday for New Plymouth. The vessel-will then come' on to Wellington on the sth February, and will later sail for Lyttelton, where she is expected on' the 7th February to complete her cargo. The Essex sails from Lyttelton on the Bth February for West of England ports. CARGO FROM NEW YORK. According to cable advice received Nby the Federal Line, the steamer City of Eastbourne left Newport News on tile 12th January, and New York on the 2.lrd January, with cargo for Auckland, Napier, Wellington, New Plymouth, Lyttelton, Dunedin, aud Australian ports.
