Advice has been received ~ from Sir Isaac Pitman's Examination Department, Melbourne, that as a result of the quarterly examination held by their representatives at Miss E. Carr's Commercial School, Stewart Dawson's Buildings, on the sth 'December, 1923, the following were successful in obtaining certificates: Speed certificates, 100 words per minute—Marion Flyer, N. P. Moss, Charles Thompson, Nora Davies, Ruth Davidson, Frances Smith, Phyllis Tompkins, Mildred Adams. Ninety words per minute —Lena Friar, Ruby Tippling, Ethel Brown. Seventy words per minute— Edna Green, Florence Cowen. Sixty words per minute—Yvonne Ahern^ Dorothy .Whippy, Molly Richards;" Madie Brown, Eva Rutledge, .Rachel.
