BRITAIN AND AMERICA TRIBUTE TO AMBASSADOR, NEW YORK, 25th January. The English-Speaking Union gave a dinner in farewell to Sir Auckland Geddes, at which Mr. Donald Mackinnon was also a guest of honour. Sir Auckland Geddes expressed re- : gret at the necessity to leavu his post. He pointed. out the satisfactory evidence of increasing goodwill between Great Britain and the United States.
