THEFT OF THREE GOWNS

AUCKLAND, This Day. Ruby Florence Madigan (aged 36) and Guy Moore, alias Cashmore (aged 29) were sentenced ito three and two months' imprisonment respectively for the theft of three gowns from the premises of the Melba Fur Company. Mr. Poyntpn', S.M., expressed the opinion that the accused had been travelling together.
By a margin of twelve votes. Hie ratepayers of a largo portion of the Mangapapa town district decided at a poll yesterday to merge into the borough of Gisborne, says a Press Association message.
