Phs (1) Sir Frederick Treves died a little over a month ago,, on the 10th December, 1923. (2) The Derby of 1913 was famous for two things. First, because the actual winner, Cragnour, was disqualified for bumping, and the race awarded to Aboyeur. The .other, sensational happening occurred at Tattenham Corner, when Miss Emily Davlson, a Suffragist, made a dash at Anmer, King George 8 horse, with the re«ult that a bad smash occurred. Anmer came down, throwing his jockey (Herbert Jones), and so seriously injuring the woman that she died subsequently In hospital.
