West Australian merinos increased by 10 per cent., lambs' wool and crossbred increased from 15 to 20 per cent. Merino reached 40 pence, and lambs 33 pence. SYDNEY, 24th January. At the wool sales competition was keen and the market very firm at late rates. Greasy merino sold to 40id. (RIUTXR'I TELICRAM.) (Received 25th January, 12.45 p.m.) , LONDON, 24th January. The offering at the wool sales was 12,628 bales, a superior selection. All quarters are buying freely at the full opening eale advance. " . |
