MEETING AT NEWTOWN PARK

In spite of an attractive programme, the attendance at Newtown Park was disappointing last evening, when a sports meeting, at which several champion athletes were present, was held. Owing to the slippery nature of the ground after the recent rain, the cycling events were postponed till to-raorrow. for the Heenan Baton relay race teams were:—University: D. Priestly C W Davis, F. S. Hill, and L. Tracy; Selwyn= R- A. Rose, M. Rose, E. Brown, and H. Sergeant. Rose led Priestly by about three yards over the first lap. I racy; University's last man, sprinted .well home, giving hist club the. baton by a win of 70 yards.
