AGRICULTURAL SHOWS
For the annual show at Masterton on 19th and 30th inst. the association has put on an attractive programme. There will be a live stock judging competition on Romney Marsh and Southdown sheep, open to those who have not acted as a judge. These events are becoming very pbpular each year.' The judges will give a demonstration in the ram-selling ring for the benefit of students and others interested. Over £1000 is offered in prize money, and £500 in challenge cups. Entries close, on 2nd February with the secretary (Mr. R. H. Williams). The ram fair will be held on 21st and 22nd February. Eentries for this close on sth February. Dairy factory managers should make themselves acquainted with the dairy produce section in the schedule for "the Dannevirke A. and P. Association's Show, as there are some valuable prizes offering. It is advisable that outside exhibits should be sent to the secretary at least three days before the show (on 13th and 14th February). A section of the show which is rapidly expanding is that devoted to pigs, for which there h a challenge cup for most points. Entries close on 30th January with Mr. H. S. M. Quigley, secretary.
