UNEMPLOYMENT, HOUSING AGRICULTURE. '
_ LONDON, 23rd January. Ihe Daily Telegraph" says that the meeting of the Parliamentary Labour Party was protracted but harmonicas. Mr. .Ramsay Macdonald emphasised the necessity for putting on one side all interests and-supporting the 1 arliahientary leaders. The 'iDaily Telegraph'] adds that a committee has been appointed to consider the organisation of the party in the light of hew circumstances and" the best method of maintaining contact between the Government and the rest, of the party. ■ ,The committee, will report when Parliament reassembles.
The ''Daily Telegraph's" lobbyist says that Mr. Macdonald told the party meeting that'the Ministry intends first to devote attention to unemployment, they provision of a bolder housing scheme, and inquiry into the condition of agriculture.
The appointments of Viscount Chehtisford and Lord Parmoor have been well received.
