Very shortly work will be commenced in the erection of a seven-story building in Aitken street, planned on the linos of the latest idea in "Bat" dwellings, such as have been carried out recently in the Astor building in Sydney. Details of interior design may be according to the desire of the purchaser.. The aim of the .:' promoters of ' the scheme is to provide homes for professional and business men with small families who are desirous of living as close as possible to the city, and to provide not merely a bare home, but an attractive dwelling.' A complete telephone system will be infialled, and the latest approved ideas of house planning and architecture will be embodied in general planning l and in, the fitting of each flat.
