PARAMOUNT THEATRE.
! A splendid programme of vaudeville and pictures is,being presented at the Paramount Theatre daily. Musgrove's Celebrity Vaudeville present Aubrey Knight, a clever English comedienne, who gives some delightful character studies and burlesque turns. The main picture on the programme is a stirring Fox melodramatic production, "Hell's Hole, which tells a vivid story of life ■in a mushroom town in the Wild West. Long Tack Sam and his amazing troupe from China, which includes men and women, commence"" their Wellington season at the Paramount Theatre .on Friday. The Auckland ntar comments on the performance as follows:—"Long Tack Sam has been responsible for providing Aucklanders with possibly the most amazing and 'original acts that have been staged here. Hundreds of vaudeville acts on magic, juggling, and acrobatic lines have been witnessed at various times, but no such combination of all these features, such as are presented by the amazing Chinaman and his company, have been witnessed before. Two of his troupe, the. acrobats, perform feats on the horizontal bar which only men of gigantic strength could perform, and they introduce thrills into their performance which leaves the crowd gaping. :Mrs. Long Tack Sam is a vivacious artist, whose acts assist the show towards success, while the two pretty daughters dance delightfully. The box plan for the Wellington season of Long Taok Sam is now open at the -Utility Stationery Shop, next to theatre. The supporting picture programme mclndes a special star picture, Tim Mix in Zane Grey's famous story, "The Lone Star Banger."
