(UNITED PRBSS ASSOCIATIOH.—COPXMOHT ) MELBOURNE, 22nd January xr 7s r. ele?, atf s t0 ' Australian Meat Council have returned from an extended visit to Japan, China Java Siam ; and India, whither they went to inquire into the prospects of markets fpr Australian meat They found that the meat had-already established a footing in Japan and was in growing demand but in China and India there wak little possibility of extension. / They strongly urged the need of better trade arrangements between Australia and the East in view of strong combined Government and private ettorts to exploit Eastern markets
