LEVIN, 11th January. The manure /worka owned by J. M. ' Milne, at Poroutawhao, were completely destroyed by fire at midnjghUast night. No work had been carried on for several days, and the fire was discovered by the caretaker, but owing to the restricted water supply little could be done to combat the flames. The insurances were £4000jn the Alliance Office. The value • of the'works and .plant is estimated at between £7000-and-£BOOO..
