THE CAR MARKET
CONDITIONS IN DUNEDIN.
IfiY TELEGRAPH.—SPECIAL 10 THE POST.)
DUNEDIN. This Day.
New motor-cars'are quoted in DuneduT at from £182 ta about £1500. Not many of those at the very highest value come this way, but there is> or has been, "during the year a good demand for cars at £80(1 or thereabouts. The people are* asking tor cars with the latest'improvement, and do not mind an extra £20 or so' on the price to get ifiem. So says an agent ;who has.a large circle of customers, and he says that there is a growing tendency to pay cash or the equivalent for cash, instead of asking for terms. From the -same source it is learned that 'motor-cars to-day cost no more thar( they did a year ago; in. fact, in one .sense they cost less, since the newest fixings are not now so expensive, and the trade arrangements are morp systematised; to the advantage' of 'all concerned. ■ • ■
