AUCKLAND, 29th December.
At a sale of thoroughbred yearlings in the stable of Dr. W. C. Ring, by auction, Skyrocket, the Ledas-Maru colt, wa3 bought by Mr. Eric Riddiford, of Wellington, for 1000 guineas. Mr. Vivian Riddiford bought Villy, by Royal Canopy—Psalmist, for-- 250 guineas. Other sales were the filly Ballymay, bought by Mr. Hugo Friedlander for 350 guineas; the filly Calute, bought by Mr. F. D. Jones for. 140 guineas; a colt by Hapsburg —Indenture, bought by Mr. J. C. Gleeson for 430 guineas ; a colt by Count Anthonv-^Bettyville, bought by Mr. W. S. Glen for 450 guineas; a colt by Catmint —Hinerewa, bought by Mr. W. H. Watkro.w for 100
guineas; a colt by Catmint—Polly Perkins, 150 guineas. Twelve horses sold realised £3100.
