On Monday, 31st December, a morning and an afternoon delivery will be made by postmen, and correspondence for delivery by postmen In the city and suburbs will be delivered on application at the Postmen's Branch (entrance, upstairs from l?eatlierston Btreet at the Chief Post Office) from/8 to 9 p.rn The public delivery counter v>Hl be open for '?£ li' T. el? of corresP°ndence addressed to the Chief Post Office up to 9 p.m The posting-boxes in city and suburbs will be cleared as usual at midnight on Monday 31st December, and Tuesday, l 6 t January. On Tuesday, Ist January (New Year's Day) the Post Office will be closed in all branches! Mails for dispatch by trains for Wuirarapa llawkes Jiay, Manawatu, ltangitikei, Wanganui, and Taranaki districts will close at midnight on Monday, 31st December, and for Auckland and Auckland district and for dispatch by steamers will close at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, Ist January.
