ANNUAL MEETING.

Wilson, chairman of directors, presided. j In moving the adoption of the annual report, the chairman "said he had pleasure in announcing a very successful result for the year. Although there was still space unoccupied in the institute, the directors recommended a dividend of 7 per cent. Eighteen farmers' organisations were now located in the institute besides many other auxiliary tenants. As an instance of the magnitude of the business transacted by the company's tenants, he pointed out that no less than 272,000 letters and 15,400 cablegrams and telegrams passed through the institute -Postal Bureau during last year. The establishment, of such a vast organisation was a great achievement, and no slump was likely to affect the future prospects of the company's business, owing to the institute's many advantages and its ideal situation. Sir James gave a review of the future prospects, stating that the satisfactory wool prices and the tremendous growth of the dairying industry indicated that :the corner had now been turned, and that prosperity lav ahead. . r J J Mr. .A. -L. Hunt, managing director, outlined a scheme whereby during the coming year steps are to be taken to provide complete exhibits of the country 8 products, which will be housed in the institute and be constantly open to the public. The report' and balance-sheet were unanimously adopted. The retiring directors—Messrs R F Goulter (Blenheim), W. Howard Booth Oarterton), Thomas Moss (Eketahuna) —were re-elected. Messrs.
