PRODUCERS" REPRESENTATIVES
POLL CLOSED TO-DAY,
The poll for tho election of the nine producers' representatives on the Dairy Produce Export Control Board closed at noon to-day. There are 20 candidates for the six North Island seats and seven for the three seats in the South. Island, and the Returning officer (Mr. G. G. Hodgkins) expects to have the counting of the votes completed by the end of next week.
When the separate North and South Island rolls closed they contained a total of 53,094 names of suppliers— 33,593 in the North Island and 19,501 in the South Island. Up till noon today 12,395 envelopes containing ballot papers had been received from North Isiand voters, and 7482 from the South Island—a total of 19,877 envelopes. Some of these envelopes, of course, may contain more than ballot papers, so it is impossible to say. at the time of writing how many of the 53,094 individual suppliers have voted. • Voting papers received after-noon to-day will not be counted.- • ■-..'■•
