Messrs. J.-H. Bethune and Co., held an auction sale under instructions' from the Public Trustee, at their rooms, Featherston street, yesterday afternoon when the following lots were disposed of under the hammer:—

Freehold land, 1 rood 15.4 perches having SOft 9in frontage to Caprera street, and 147 ft 7in to Park road together with the two-story dwelling house containing • U rooms, two outbuildings and glasshouse thereon, to Mr Andrews' as agent, for £1250; freehold property having a frontage of 34ft to Normanbv street, by a depth of 107 ft, with the 5-rd. dwelhng-house No. 8 thereon, to Messrs. Clark and Jansen, for £575; vacant section, Karori, having a frontage, of 66ft to Lancaster street, by a depth of 165 ft to Mr. D. W. Allen, for £350. • ' Other properties were submitted, comprising two allotments in Caprera street a Karori section adjoining the one sold^ property No. 139, Washington avenue' Brooklyn, and another, No. 68, Yule street, Kilbirnie, but these, not reaching the reserves, were passed in ; and are now in the hands of the auctioneers for private sale.
