In Bedford square there are doors in cornflower blue in emerald green, and in a soft shade of terracotta The front door of a famous firm of solicitors m the city brightens the neighbourhood with'its vivid green One strange thing ia that in nearly every case where the house hae a gay front door it is hard to find a scrap of the same colour on any other portion of the houeo front. Window sashes, for exnmplo, and other painted parts are not coloured to match
