LOWER HUTT GAS BOARD

A meeting of ths Lower Hutt Ga» Lighting Board was held yesterday. Present: Messrs. W. J. Lodder (chairman), A. Anderson, J. Piper, W. Hay, A. J. Hobbs, and W. T., Strand. \

An inspection of the Petone and Lower Hutt boroughs was made on 30th November: Only two lamp's were not burning .satis' factorily in. Lower Hutt, but at Petone he found that the whole of the lamps from Queen street south to the railway crossing, and to side streets from' the esplanade to Jackson street, as well as several in 'various parts of the borough, were unfit, totalling 32. It was decided that the next meeting be held oh 15th January, 1924. . ;
