(Received 12th December, 11 a.m.) LONDON, 11th December. Correspondence has been published showing that Mr. C. A. Buekmaster chairman of the governing body of the Imperial College of Science and Technology, ? recently informed the Duke of Devonshire that his private friends desired to offer two post-graduate scholarships at the college, of £300 apiece, for students from the universities of Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, and India, for the session 1924-5. The selection of the students is left to the overseas Prime Ministers.
The Duke of Devonshire has now re plied that he is authorised by the Do mnuon Prime Ministers, and by Viscount Peel on behalf of India, to g^dly accept Vri mU?}?
