SWIMMING
BIG SATURDAY CARNIVAL.
Through an error the Wellington and Olympja Clubs' combined carnival was advertised to take place last Saturday. The correct date is next Saturday, 15th December. It promises to be i'le most interesting fixture held in Te Aro Baths since the New Zealand championships in 1921, The star item will be the 100 yds Provincial Cham, pionship, which will bring out an exceptionally strong field, including. E. Patterson, the New! Zealand Teeord holder. This year Wellington has probably the strongest team of male swimmers m the Dominion, and it will be interesting to see if their form on Saturday warrants the hope that Wellington may win the Yaldhurst Shield at the next National Championships.
