The Man They Could Not Hang," being the life-story of John Lee is again being presented at the Strand Theatre to-day. The doomed man is led to the scaffold, and, everything being ready,, the hangman pulls the bolt. Nothing happens. Another attempt is made, with the same astounding result, as before, and then a third time the trap .refused to plunge John Lee to his death... He is then sentenced to imprisonment for life, but the real murderer, confesses, and .the wronged mail is released. The usual supports will be shown.
