Lovers" of _good music will have a treat provided them on Saturday evening next at the Town Hall" when "The ■ will be produced by the Royal Wellington Choral Union. The union at Ji p/esent time is especially well equipped for the production of a composition that makes so much demand on the res°u ] ref ß °f a musical organisation. An added interest on the occasion will be the visit of the choral societies of Hawera, Stratford, and New Plymouth, who will, all take part in Handel's masterpiece. A chorus of 460 members has been trained for the occasion, with the assistance of an orchestra of 50, together with the grand organ,, an exceptionally fine performance, tfnder Mr. Temple "Whites baton is anticipated. Ine soloists engaged are of the very first rank. Miss Ethel Osborn, of Brisbane, is the soprano; Miss Mina Oaldow, of Auckland, the contralto; Mr. Sydney Butler, Christchurch, tenor; and Mr. Len Barnes,, who arrived from London last week will undertake the baritone solo work. The box plan can be inspected at The Bristol. Two hundred two shilhnsr will ba -on sale at The Bristol on Friday morning.
