PROFESSIONAL TOURNAMENT FIXED.
The monthly meeting of tha Golf Council was held ,t. the office of the secretary (Mr, G. O. Button) yesterday, when there were present .-Messrs. R. m to <chairman)> A- D- S. Duncan, M W. Horten, and W. E. A. Gill A lengthy letter was received from the Auckland Gpjf Club setting out exactly what it purposed doing in order to complete the bunkering scheme before the champipnship meeting, and tlje leOer was considered quite satisfactory by tho council,
It wa? resolved to hold the next professionals tournament at . Nelspp on lhursday, Friday, aijd Saturday, 24th 25th, and 26th April, being tho end of the week following Easter Monday. The Nelson Golf Club offers to find £50 for the prize money for a three days' tournament, and the association will provide not less than £100 in addition.
