A GOOD EVENING MEETING

SELWYN WIN THE RELAY.

Sports at Athletic Park last evening attracted a. fairly large crowd of spec- ! tators, the various events, for which there were gQO d entries, making up s» splendid, programme. The sprinting was of splendid order, Tracv and ' Pans appearing to advantage, while a' 600 yards handicap provided a splendid finish as also did the ladies' race. New I competitors were seen in the shot-put-it" B™^,"*' the winner turning up in I the Wellington and New Zealand repre- ' sentative footballer, A. Pringle. The cycle race over three miles was a.good contest though _ Bright and Harrison did not succeed in catching two of the eye ists with good handicaps.
