FIRE AT ISLAND BAY

The Fire Brigade received a call at 2.26 a.m. to-day to No. 36, Brighton street, Island Bay, a five-roomed house, owned and occupied by Mr. Hugo Lupi. The house and contents were totally destroyed. The occupants, who escaped unhurt, had been burning sulphur in. somo cupboards during the afternoon, and it is supposed that the outbreak originated from this source.
