The coastguards boarded her and. arrested a notorious smuggler known as Pumniy Bill M'Coy, who had 90,000 dollars, admittedly received for smuggled liquor. The Tomako was seized and the whole crew/ arrested and taken to New York gaol. The Tomako had two machine-guns. Two Government cutters effected the arrest, armed with 3inch guns.
