The "Daily Chronicle's" .Marseilles correspondent says Ouiseppe Pace, a Maltese, is the only one out of at least a dozen stowaways who survived the fire and explosions on board the steamer Otterburn. He admits that matches were struck in the aftwhold where the stowaways hid. Apart from the stowaways seven members of the crew perished.
