ARNE BORG TO MEET "BOY" CHARLTON.
(BSITIP FREM USOCIAIIOS.—COPTItUHT.) (AnsiRAUAN-NEW ZEALAND CABLI ASSOCIATION.) LONDON, 24th November Arne Borg, the well-known Swedish swimmer, sails to-day in tha Moldavia for Australia. He stated to an interviewer that his suspension, imposed owing to non-compliance with mUitarv orders, expires next week. He is looking forward with confidence to meeting Boy Charlton. During a recent visit to Spam, Borg covered half a mite in 10mm 37sec, but it was done in a 40 yards bath, which cannot be accepted as a record. His llmin 9 l-10sec for the distance, registered at Gothenburg in August, has, however, been passed as a world s record.
