NEED OF A PAVILION.

The activities of the Wellington College Old Boys' Association at the present" time call for more than passing attention, those relating to the endeavour to have an up-to-date pavilion erected on the college grounds having a strong claim for public support. A concert, to be held in the Town Hall tonight, constitutes the second drive towards.the attainment of the objective— a sum of about £2500—t0 cover the cost of erecting a building which will be a credit not only to the old school but to Wellington. Apart from the financial result of the concert, which should be most successful, much other assistance is required, and, in view of the fact that the college grounds are a great benefit to cricket and football in Wellington, the help of the leading sports bodies has been sought. The concert this evening will give all persons interested an opportunity of contributing in some measure toward the building fund, and for their assistance on that occasion they will receive the immediate return of a very enjoyable evening's entertainment. , Ulf ,b,°yß of the callege are reminded of ■ the field day to take place on the college grounds on Friday, 30th inst.
