(AUSTRALIAN-NEW ZEALAND CABLB ASSOCIArIOS.) LONDON, 25th November. The late Maurice Marcus, of Redhill, Surrey, once a poor man, left over £3,000,000, of which £1,000,000 goes in death duties. He was a bachelor 78 years old.
Local people were aware that Marcus was rich, but were astounded to learn of his great wealth, which it appears was mainly amassed in South African diamond companies and banking. None were more surprised than his eisters, who had no idea that their brother was even a millionaire. -^Marcus left generoufi bequests to Telatives and charities
