EMPRESS THEATRE.
Jazz, and its hypothetical dangers are discussed by a fond parent in • Wandering Daughters," the chief attraction at the Empress Theatre. Charles Horton is distinctly of the opinion that his daughter Geraldine has to be found a husband, not that she shall exercise the right of natural selection, and to_ guard against accidents he places jazzing on his own index expurgatorius. There are many surprising situations, and. an all-star cast includes Marguerite de la Motte, Marjorie Daw, Noah Berry and Princess Vlademar Volkousky The supporting pictures on the programme are excellent, and the Empress Orchestra, of fourteen instrumentalists supplies delightful music. A variety attraction is a novelty step-dance by little Billie Murphy.
