ASHBURTON, 24th November For entering the Baptist Church one night to take care of a friend, Frank bpnng was prosecuted and convicted oft both charges as a rogue and vagabond, through being there without lawful excuse. The evidence indicated that it was the outcome of a drunken scene Spring subsequently asked for a rehearing, alleging that he had not participated in the proceedings. Decision was reserved t and it has now been decided to acquit Spring with a reprimand.
