PARAMOUNT THEATRE.
"Gimme" is the main attraction now showing at the Paramount Theatre It is the story of a husband who neglected to supply his wife with the various little considerations that are dear to the heart of every woman. Fanny comes to the city and secures a position as a designer, though her engagement is due rather more to the infatuation of her unscrupulous employer than to his need of her for work Fanny meets and secretly marries Clin' ton Ferris, son of a wealthy client who promptly disinherits him. Fanny finds it necessary to keep up appearances, and though her husband has found a position he does not realise how urgently she is in need of new clothes bhe borrows from her employer, but when he finds out she is married calls in his loan, and Fanny is eventually found out by her husband, who then forsakes her. However, when lie learns the true reason for the loan he realises his shortcomings as a husband, and life is started anew. The second film on the programme is a stirring picture, "1 lames of Passion." There are stronc supports, and Messrs. Wright and Clausen render a dolightful selection for clarinet and flute.
