The Warsaw correspondent of "The Times" says: "That .the .. Orthodox Church of Russia, is on its last legs is the impression of Bishop Bury, who conducted the first Anglican service in Moscow for three years. It may maintain a precarious existence while the Patriarch Tikhon lives. It will then fall to pieces.
Ihe Patriarch is a broken man, and the Sonet i s . prooably awaiting his death to deal the Orthodox Church a death-blow I visited Tikhon," said the Bishop. "He is a frail old man, and nves under strict surveillance, unable to communicate with his brother Bishops. The bulk of the people still adhere to the Orthodox Church. Its services are crowded, whereas the Soviet's churches are almost empty." °
