; ' BUEONS AIRES, 23rd Nov. An attempt was made to assassinate Dr. Manuel Carlos, Preaident of the Argentine Patriotic League. An anarchist worker fired three revolver shots at him, but tho bullets missed the mark. The league has been active in aiding the police in suppreeiinz various labour disturbances. •-■■■'
