LONDON, 23rd November.
The political correspondent of "The Times" says that information has reached th« Government already that as a result of Mr. Baldwin's recent speeches, foreign manufacturers are actively inquiring regarding vacant industries in England, while a number are entering into negotiations for the purchase and rent of factories wherein to make goods which at present Britain is importing: It ig regarded as a significant' fact that in most cases where factories in England have been leased or purchased during the last eighteen months, the manufacturer* are engaged in producing goods for industries already protected by (he M'Kerina tariffs and the Safeguarding of Industries- Act.
