In the fight foi the lightweight championship of Europe and England at the Albert Hall, Ernie Rice was always attacking, and followed. Harry Mason Tound the' ring, Ibut Mason was more skilful, and so led on points in the early- rounds. -Rice then took command for some time, and floored Mason twice in the fourteenth round and" once in the fifteenth round. Thereafter Mason led to the twentieth round, when he was floored by Rice and took the count to eight. The decision of the referee in awarding the fight to Mason met with a mixed reception.
